What is a fanlisting?

A fanlisting is simply an online list of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country. Fanlistings do not have to be large sites (although some are), they are just a place where you can sign up with other fans. -- courtesy of

The Last Unicorn - OST

The film's music was composed and arranged by Jimmy Webb, with songs performed by the group America. The title track plays over the opening credits of the film, and has been covered by Kenny Loggins on his Return to Pooh Corner album. The film's soundtrack, including the musical score as well as the featured songs, was released by Virgin Records in Germany under the title Die Letzte Einhorn in 1982, but that CD has never been released elsewhere despite its being in English. The German release of the soundtrack includes the vocals of Katie Irving as Amalthea, as opposed to the film itself which features those of actress Mia Farrow, who voices the character throughout the story. Irving's vocals were originally intended to be featured in the theatrical and home video versions of the film.

The original version of the movie, released in the United States in 1981, did not feature the song "Now That I'm A Woman" in its full form, but merely the reprise sung against Prince Lir's "That's All I've Got To Say". However, all the commercially released recordings are of the extended version of the film, in which the song is heard in full along with several clips that did not make it into the US theatrical release. The track listing of the German CD is as follows:

1. The Last Unicorn
2. Man's Road
3. In the Sea
4. Now That I'm A Woman
5. That's All I've Got to Say
6. The Last Unicorn (Reprise)
7. Forest Awakens
8. Red Soup
9. Red Bull Attacks
10. The Cat
11. The Tree
12. Haggard's Unicorns
13. Bull-Unicorn-Woman
14. Unicorns in the Sea
15. Unicorn and Lir

I'm yet another fantasy fan of the generation who grew up with the film, and I've always been very fond of it. I still own my original VHS copy which is, I think, from 1986, the year I was born. I also own a copy of the German-issued CD. When Rain put the soundtrack fanlisting up for adoption, I simply had to apply, as I love it too much to do otherwise! This lovely layout was very kindly custom-made for me by Drea in return for my making codes for some of her listings (layouts aren't my favourite part of the process, and codes aren't her favourite!). I haven't edited it very much.
